Lorna Shore

Immortal

  • Previously Lorna Shore had released all of their albums with a unique symbol on a simple textured background. It was a great experience to finally make them something in a new style that represented the bands move to a more mature stage of their career. The concept was about incorporating their newest symbol into the art. I decided to take inspiration from the simplicity of their previous releases and have the focus of the art be the symbol itself. I referenced pagan rituals in which a wooden effigy is worshipped and surrounded by various offerings. The offerings surrounding the effigy came from the themes of the first two singles released by the band, a snake and a lamb. The landscape is very Nordic, speaking to ancient gods of the far north in forgotten fields of lonely woods.
